Day 39

Although I was aiming to wash my hair once a week, I washed midweek. On Wednesday night I did a wash that took longer than expected with mist of my time spent on part 4&5.

Anyway, it was for the best ad my hair looked and felt great on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

On Sunday, i started my day with an ACV rinse, which I left on for about thirty minutes.  It was followed with a 1 hour cowash and then a 1 hour mud treatment.

My hair feels good and I like the way it looks -

I'm going to wash my hair again on Thursday, preferably in the morning. In fact, I'll mix my protein mix on Tuesday/Wednesday evening and put it on for about 3 hours on Wednesday and then sleep with conditioner to then finish everything else on Thursday morning.

I can't believe how much my hair has changed since I started the method and I hope it continues to thrive.

day 37

It was over a week between washes.

I started the process on friday night - acv rinse then deep con treatment. I slept with conditioner overnight and in the morning I rinsed and put on my clay mix. I left it on for about 9 hours then finished steps 4 & 5.

I then put my hair in braids and slept with a showercap which I left on for the whole sunday till monday morning.

Today, my hair looks great and feels lovely. Here are a few pics and I'll add more later tonight.

day 36: best hair EVER!

So, I did a cherry lola for about 1.5 hours followed by an hour of KCKT and then about 2 hours of a funky clay mix. It contained European clay powder, which is montmorillonite but green, a little of my brown montmorilonite and left over bentonite I noticed that my hair liked the mix aa lot. When I finally finished all the steps I took the time to separate my hair into avout 11 sections. By the time that was done, my hair was beginning to dry so I used my flat mate's spray bottle and taking each section, I sprayed and separates into 2, applied diluted conditioner and then full strength gel.

My hair seemed to have better curl definition and hang. Also doing such small sections enabled me to thoroughly detangle. I just watched movies while doing my hair and i likely spent about 3 hours.

This morning, my hair looks phenomenal!

I went out and it dried about 99% by the end of the day.

At bedtime, I sectioned my hair into twists and pinned each section down with pins and clips. Then I put on my vented shower cap and a scarf and went to bed.

I awoke to find my hair very moist, and the curls still had some stretch to them.
2nd day hair in the morning.

My hair dried very quickly, just sitting in my room.

For Tuesday night, I plan on doing the danabnatural quick method and I hope I am able to get similar results with my hair.

1 week post

Ooookay, I went a week without washing my hair.

Here are a few pictures -

My Observations:

My hair managed to do a good job but by Thursday, I could feel some frizz developing. That just means my hair still needs a midweek touch up. On Wednesday night, I did sleep with a shower cap to up my moisture level. I gave my hair a little diluted conditioner before putting on the shower cap.

I think my new midweek touch up will happen on Tuesday nights and it'll just be a quick process. I think ill adopt Danabnatural's quick method.

Step 1. Wet hair

Step 2.
Clay rinse

Step 3. Baking soda rinse

Step 4.
Apply conditioner on sopping wet hair under shower. Slide off access conditioner with hands to avoid residue

Step 5. Apply gel on sopping wet hair and keep hair wet. Shake. Or apply an gel or oil and set into style.
